'Whilst Others May Imitate Us -
the Original is Still the Best'
Welcome to the Oldest Sweet Shop Online providing quality, traditional sweets from our shop straight to your door!
Set in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales, The
Oldest Sweet Shop In England has been selling traditional
old fashioned sweets for nearly two centuries which has gained us a vast
knowledge and expertise that others will find difficult to match.
We do not sell inferior sweets and pride ourselves on
the selection of sweets made by our many small independent suppliers. Our
sweets are made using natural colourings and flavourings, many of which have been
using the same methods for over a century. Our sweets have not only stood
the test of time but also the test of the many thousands of customers who visit
our shop each year.
Though we would love for you to visit our historic and world renowned shop we realise that it is not always possible
so we have provided a superior mail order service for your confectionery needs.
Ordering through our website gives you the opportunity to view through some
of our vast
selection of sweets whilst
sat at home. Using our unusual but simple to use scrolling system just
select the category of choice, allow it to load and watch the sweets glide
across your screen. After you have selected your sweets you can enter
your delivery details and your payment will be processed through the fully
secure payment facility SagePAY (formally Protx and part of national
Sage accountancy).
Once your payment has been accepted your order will be packed in the sweet shop by us (not in a factory hundreds of miles away!) to ensure care
and quality throughout. We will inspect your sweets before they are packed
to make sure they meet our high standards then pack them in cellophane bags
to ensure they stay fresh and place them, along with a wax sealed invoice, in
a thick post box with adequate protection for transit. They are then placed
in the capable hands of Royal Mail or our Courier service Fedex who
will deliver them to your doorstep.
